I’m alive, I swear!

Sorry for the lack of updates since I said I was moving to Morrisville. I’ve been super busy trying to get all of my schedules figured out. I finally have a few minutes to update everyone that was curious on what’s been going on.

So moving down wasn’t that bad at all. I was able to get comfortable and all moved in within a day or two. By the time I moved down Bry started his IBM internship. Apparently cubicle life is a little bit difficult, so I made him a cubicle buddy!

I pretty much took red paint to my hand and made him a plant-equivalent of Wilson from Castaway. Now when Bryan feels like he has lost his soul to cubicle life, he has a friend to talk to. :)

As for what I’m doing this summer, I’m sure you all are very curious as to what I do at the Duke Lemur Center. I can’t say much (or take pictures, for that matter) about my job, but I will say this: I LOVE IT! It’s pretty amazing. I’m a Primate Technician and I am surrounded by Lemurs on a daily basis who are absolutely stunning. They each have their own personality, and I especially love getting to know each of them individually. I am always in a better mood after I come home from the DLC. I’ve been there for a few weeks now, and I am enjoying every moment of it.

Also this week was my two year anniversary with Jon and we made AWESOME FOOD!

We made New York strip steak, chicken alfredo, and lemon scallops! Well, Jon cooked most of this because I don’t trust myself cooking this type of food. I especially loved the scallops…. I love scallops… and now I’m craving them again! I think Bryan’s favorite part of the meal was the steak- he finished his before I was able to finish a fourth of mine!

Bryan and Jon also celebrated their second year of bromance, of course.

Bryan and I have also been cooking a lot recently. (But lets be honest- if it wasn’t for me planning our meals each week I’m sure Bryan would opt for living on just ramen). I finally found the trick to making juicy baked chicken and Bryan has been mastering the art of burgers and chicken on the grill.

CHICKEN!

Also, I know I promised people that I would be coming back to Wilmington, soooo here you go: I will DEFINITELY be in Wilmington from July 4th - July 7th. I originally thought I was going to be back for a bit for Memorial Day but I was unable to take off since I had just arrived to Morrisville around that time. I am planning on awesome food, beach, and fun. :P If you want to hang out make sure you facebook me or text me.

Sorry about the lack of updates. I’ll try to post more frequently to tumblr. I feel awful for just going afk for long periods of time. :)

P.S. MARC FINALLY GOT HIS CARTILAGE PIERCED about time now Kitty, Marc, and I can get matching Adventure Time earrings ADVENTURE TIMEEEEEE!!!! :) Congrats on finally gathering the courage to do that.

See you guys around!

Jon and Bryan being goofy. :)
Jon at his graduation! :) So proud of you!
Temporary move, take two!

So to start off, sorry I haven’t posted anything in months. I only really use Tumblr for special occasions, such as holidays, summer adventures, etc. Unfortunately with school and work I forgot about it completely. HOWEVER, I’ll be using it much more often this summer since I’m moving to Morrisville, NC with my brother. My brother was accepted for two internships: IBM and BMW. He went with IBM for this summer, and next summer he’ll be doing BMW because he’s cool like that. This summer I’ll be working with lemurs at the Duke Lemur Center. The commute to these places is about 2-3 hours away from home, so we decided to go ahead and get an apartment and live closer to the Raleigh/Durham area. Mom and Dad helped Bryan pick out the place and he is already settled in up there, but I’m leaving today around 8pm to join him. Apparently our internet is much better there, so NONSTOP GAMING in between work and chores. I also will be studying for my GRE while I’m up there so I can apply to grad schools this upcoming fall. I won’t be posting the schools I’ll be applying to until later on because I’m still in the process of contacting some of them and getting to know the faculty better. I’m really excited about the area we’re moving to because a. It’s a quiet area in between the two major city areas and has tons of great shopping places and b. our apartment is SUPER nice with a pool, workout area, and large closets that can fit at least 20 dead bodies. Haha! Anyway, I know a lot of people wanted to hang out this summer in Wilmington, so it’s important that you shoot me a message if you wanna plan something ahead of time. I think I’m coming back for Memorial Day and sometime in July, but I’m not too sure yet. Unfortunately I won’t be bringing my fancy camera with me because I feel like I’ll be too busy to use it properly anyway. So most of the pictures will be cellphone quality, sorry! And also TOMORROW JON IS GRADUATING! :D He’s officially old and I will remind him on a daily basis until I graduate. That also reminds me that I turn 21 this summer…. FINALLY I CAN GET KAHLUA. No one will dare buy me that cheap knock-off crap EVER AGAIN! Haha. But anyway, super excited about the move and hopefully I’ll post more about it later on.

Lots of horses and dogs at the beach today!
This is Howl. :)
Good morning to the two princesses =___=
Skittles c:
My boyfriend currently has 7 cats.

So long story short my dad thought Jon owned cats after visiting Raleigh due to all the plates he had piled on his floor. So now instead of asking how many dirty dishes he has on the floor I just ask him how many cats he owns at that point in time. He is a crazy cat lady on the inside.
